Cancellation & Refunds
Information regarding subscription cancellations, refunds, and the statutory waiver of the right of withdrawal for digital services.
1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal Waiver
Uni OS provides access to proprietary digital content and software-as-a-service (SaaS) features that are not supplied on a tangible medium. Because our service is granted immediately upon registration and activation, your statutory right of withdrawal expires prematurely and immediately.
In accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and § 356(5) of the German Civil Code, the right of withdrawal for contracts concerning the delivery of digital content expires if the provider has begun performance of the contract after the consumer has:
- Expressly agreed that the provider shall begin performance before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- Acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal once performance has begun.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or subscribing to our service, you expressly consent to the immediate commencement of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal in its entirety.
2. Strict No-Refunds Policy
Because Uni OS incurs immediate infrastructural costs to securely synchronize, process, and deliver academic data the moment your account is provisioned, all purchases and subscriptions are strictly final and non-refundable.
We do not provide prorated refunds for partially used billing periods, lack of usage, changes of mind, or if you decide to leave your university or academic institution. If you cancel your subscription mid-cycle, you will not receive a refund for the remaining time, but you will retain access to the paid features until the end of your current billing cycle.
3. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel the auto-renewal of your Uni OS subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing period.
Cancellation Process: The exclusive method for cancellation is via the self-service billing portal, accessible directly from the "Settings" menu inside the Uni OS application. If you have lost access to your account, you must contact support@hfmlegacy.com at least 48 hours before your next billing cycle to ensure cancellation is processed in time.
Failure to cancel before the renewal date will result in an automatic charge, which is strictly non-refundable under our No-Refunds policy outlined above.
